Mobile Food Distributions:

Our next event

We will have our first distribution of the year on May 18, 2024. Food distribution will begin at 9AM and end at 11AM. Our usual distributions are on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 8-8:30AM to help setup. Walk-ups are welcome. The drive-up line will form on Telfair Street across from the Bell Auditorium. Please bring a Georgia Drivers License or other picture ID.

What to expect?

We typically distribute non-perishable canned and boxed items, frozen meats, cheese, butter, juice, and cereal.When available, we provide fresh fruit and produce such as lettuce, onions and potatoes. Non-food items such as diapers, disinfectant wipes are sometimes available.

Our food distributions are regularly scheduled for the third Saturday of each month, with one additional distribution each quarter on a first Saturday that will be announced on the calendar.

In addition, we provide snack packs of ready-to-eat non-perishable items for homeless clients at our distributions, and in partnership with the St. John UMC Clothes Closet that is open each Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

Eligibility:

We primarily serve residents of Richmond and Columbia Counties, Georgia, but residents from Jenkins, Johnson, Jefferson, Taliaferro, Burke, Warren and Washington counties are also eligible to receive food. We never charge our clients for the food that they receive.
